Tokyo, Oct 22, 2010 - (JCN) - Hitachi-LG Data Storage Inc. (HLDS) has chosen Micron Solutions Inc.'s 25nm NAND as the flash memory treatment for its hybrid optical disk drive (ODD), targeted at thin and light notebooks, as clearly as DVD gamers and Blu-ray solutions.
Micron's 25nm NAND delivers 8GB of storage in a single unit, enabling higher potential storage in space constrained patterns. The original portfolio of HLDS Hybrid Drives will be made available in a array of embedded flash memory capacities like 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Greater NAND capacities of the Hybrid Drive will be to choose from in upcoming variations.
